Mr. Chlopak is a leader in Citigroup’s $60 billion Global RE programs and products.  With more than 40 years of finance experience including bank regulation, regional banking and global banking, (36 years at Citigroup), he oversees commercial real estate capital markets debt transactions and portfolios involving the highest profile of publicly traded and private clients across all segments, (hospitality, healthcare, retail, office, multi-family, industrial, and homebuilders/single family) and also across many geographies.  This includes deploying capital for Bridge Financing for Mergers & Acquisitions, Term Loans for permanent capital, Revolving Credits for liquidity and working capital, and Securitized Lending for structured flow capital.    These debt structures include recourse, (corporate guarantees), and non-recourse structures (1st mortgage secured properties).  His team coordinates across a broad spectrum of Citigroup professionals, products and services and external clients.  These include the Investment Bank, Corporate Banking and Fixed Income and various related services and products including M&A advisory, primary and secondary equity offerings, investment grade and non-investment grade bonds and Citi’s transaction services, (cash management, wealth management, and interest rate derivatives).  He has extensive experience in leadership, talent management, including recruiting, training and developing business managers and leaders, and he works with many recruiters and universities.

He is married with 3 grown adult children.  His wife Donna holds a PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology, and is an adjunct instructor at several area business schools, including Montclair State University, and she is in the process of publishing a “how to book” focused on Career Development, “Learning to Fish in the 21st Century”.
