Carris Hill Loop - Advanced Hike
In Norvin Green State Forest, this hike sandwiches a steep scramble between rock faces of up to 40 feet, reaching lovely vistas and a babbling, gentle brook. The waterfall is well-worth the climb!
What to Bring: Sturdy, closed-toe shoes (preferably hiking boots); thick, full-length pants (jeans are best); insect repellant; sunscreen; layered clothing; water; snack(s).
Potential Hazards: Poisonous plants/allergies, insect bites, unpredictable weather changes, sunburn/heat exhaustion, limited vision, dehydration, steep, rocky, and/or slippery terrain, rolling or falling rocks, snakes and large animals, injuries including sprains/strains, abrasions, lacerations and fractures.
