Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) is an empirically supported, trust-based, emotion-focused psychotherapy model designed to improve family and individual processes associated with adolescent suicide and depression. Its goal is to repair interpersonal ruptures, and rebuild an emotionally protective parent-child relationship.

Presenter: Suzanne A. Levy, Ph.D.

Dr. Levy is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Director of Clinical Training for the ABFT Training Program at Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Along with her colleagues, Dr. Guy Diamond and Dr. Gary Diamond, she is a co-developer of the first ABFT treatment manual titled, Attachment-Based Family Therapy for Depressed Adolescents, published in October 2013 by the American Psychological Association.

6 CE credits will be offered through NASW and NBCC.
