The Center for Heritage and Archaeological Studies (CHAS) will be collaborating with the Liberty Science Center on their Day of Drones event. The Day of Drones is a continuation of the NYC Drone Film Festival, a weekend long expo in New York City showcasing drone cinematography. On the 19th, the Festival will continue at the Liberty Science Center by holding classes, demonstrations, and virtual reality experiences on its facilities.

CHAS will be attending the final day of the Festival on Sunday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Liberty Science Center. Throughout the day, representatives from CHAS will be engaging with the public about the use of drones in archaeology.

They will be hosting a table on the second floor of the Science Center (right next to the “Dronesium”), with a variety of reading and interactive materials about the history of aerial photography in archaeology and how drones have revolutionized the field in recent years.
