The M.A. in Counseling Program prepares students to be culturally competent social justice counselors to work with diverse populations of all ages in the following four areas: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Addictions Counseling, School Counseling, and Student Affairs/Higher Education. Students are prepared to work with diverse populations in elementary and secondary schools, community mental health agencies, student affairs positions in colleges and universities, and substance abuse treatment facilities. The academic preparation follows guidelines established by state licensure and certification boards.

 

Join us on Wednesday, June 21st at 6:00 p.m., University Hall room 3004 to learn about our Master of Arts in Counseling Program. This information session is designed to provide potential applicants an overview of the following: 

  • Overview of MA in Counseling program and our four concentration areas (Addictions, Clinical Mental Health, School, and Student Affairs)
  • Graduate admissions process
