University Calendar

Double Bassist Rolf Erdahl performs widely as a chamber and orchestral musician
throughout his home state of Minnesota. Dr. Erdahl and his wife, oboist Carrie Vecchione,
present oboe/bass duo recitals and educational programs regionally and across the
nation as OboeBass!-The Vecchione/Erdahl Duo, and were 2013-2014 Artists In
Residence for Minnesota Public Radio. Rolf has performed in the bass sections of the
Minnesota Orchestra, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the Minnesota Opera, and
teaches bass at Gustavus Adolphus College. A graduate of St. Olaf College, the University
of Minnesota, and Peabody Conservatory, Dr. Erdahl was a student of Eugene Levinson,
with additional studies under Peter Lloyd, Bruce Bransby, Paul Ellison, Hal Robinson,
and James Clute.
