This event is open to both the university and the public.

Jayne Anne Phillips’s books include the acclaimed fiction collections Black Tickets and Fast Lanes, the National Book Award Finalist novel Lark & Termite, and the novel Machine Dreams, among others. Her work has been published in a dozen foreign languages. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, a Bunting Fellowship from Radcliffe College, a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship, and numerous other awards.
