The Montclair State Electronic Music Ensemble will premiere a collection of student-written pieces, as well as a new work by ensemble director Nate May.

In responding to the Gallery's current exhibit, Confluence: Tradition in Contemporary Art, the ensemble's approach has been to start from the same basic premises as the electronic music pioneers of the mid-20th century -- synthesis and musique concrete -- but to explore them as an improvising group working with digital instruments.
