SEXUAL DIVERSITY IN ISLAM

Dr.Yasir Ibrahim will deliver a lecture that engages an article written by Dr. Scott Siraj al- Haqq Kulge titled, “Sexual Diversity in Islam: Is There Room in Islam for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Muslims?” (2011). Kugle argues that both the Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad acknowledge sexual diversity and that there is no scriptural basis for the persecution and punishment of gays and lesbians in Islamic countries.
