Learn why the new European model of entrepreneurship is superior to Silicon Valley's. Come hear both Prof. Dr. Markus Nachbagauer and Dr. Markus Raser from the University of Graz, Austria, discuss the advantages of the European startup model and how you can take advantage of them.

The second half of the evening will feature students from the Transatlantic Entrepreneurship Academy, which is Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation's premiere innovation and entrepreneurship experience.

The Transatlantic Entrepreneurship Academy is an international partnership and reciprocal exchange with the University of Graz, Austria (Graz and Montclair are sister cities going back to the Marshall Plan and WWII.)

We will have 40 students (20 from Montclair State and 20 from Graz) completing their first week in Montclair. At this meetup, these students will present their sustainable novel paradigms and skeptical innovations.

SPEAKER BIOS:

MARKUS NACHBAGAUER is employed in the entrepreneurship team at the Center of Entrepreneurship and Applied Business Studies at University of Graz, Austria. He works together with various startups and has an expertise in the field of marketing and sales. Due to his academic background, he likes legal as well as analytical tasks and combines them with inspiring creativity. He loves to motivate people to get started on their ideas and improve them.

MARKUS RASER and his colleague Mario Zartl founded the first startup commercial high school in Austria. They cooperate with investors, corporate partners and universities. With their startup program they want to change the inflexible school structures in Austria and enable students to focus on innovative design thinking, creating visionary ideas and working with megatrends. All this is combined with connected learning and information technology. Their program includes both entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. Additionally, Markus Raser is also project leader for e-commerce and social media at his job. Before starting in education, he worked as an assistant to the management at a travel agency and as an accountant.
