Public Telescope Night is organized by a team of volunteers affiliated with the North Jersey Astronomical Group (NJAG). It runs every clear Thursday during the academic year when school is in session. You can find a full schedule here. Our telescopes cannot see through clouds! Public Telescope Nights are cancelled if the weather is cloudy, cold (<20 F), or very windy. It's considered "clear" if you can see the moon or at least 10 stars clearly. This determination is made ~6pm that day; cancellations are usually noted on the NJAG Facebook page.
