The United Nations has named Norway the best country to live in for six years in a row. In the international environment at the University of Agder (UiA), you will not only learn from the Norwegian way of living, but also learn from your fellow students, who will be from all over the world.
The UiA was established on September 1, 2007 when Agder University College received full university status. There are about 8000 students and 850 faculty and staff, making it the fifth largest higher education institution in the country. The university is located in the twin counties of Agder. The southernmost part of the region where all three campuses are located is affectionately called "Sorlandet."
