Introduction to integrating intercultural and global perspectives in your courses
Domenica Dominguez, Director of International Academic Initiatives, and Julie Dalley, Associate Director for OFA, lead a conversation on why and how to integrate culturally responsive teaching strategies and incorporate intercultural learning outcomes in our curriculum. We discuss both simple and more advanced ways to achieve internationalization of your courses, from low-stakes activities to structured collaborative projects. This session acts as movement at Montclair State to broaden our international impact as an HSI institution, and a diverse community of scholars and learners. We will share learning objectives, sample syllabi and courses, and assignments and activities, as well as provide lots of space for sharing anticipated challenges or brainstorming ideas for implementation.
