Please join the Office of International Academic Initiatives and the Office for Faculty Advancement as we showcase the incredible, year-long work of our Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Faculty Fellows as they have developed new and ongoing academic international collaborations with many partner universities around the globe. Our 2021 Fall COIL Symposium also features guest speaker Dr. Younus Mirza, Founding Director, Global Virtual Learning at Shenandoah University, who will share the journey to creating internationalized courses and projects that incorporate engaged, active learning across a global virtual exchange.
Sessions feature discussions and workshops on course/module design, finding international partners and developing projects, using technology for virtual collaboration and fostering deeper cultural competencies through these learning projects. From ideas, to strategies, to challenges faced and obstacles overcome, you will find plenty of inspiration and collegial discussion here!
The event is open to all faculty and community members! Come to one or all sessions for inspiration and engagement on collaborative teaching practices, and student learning projects that have spanned the globe.
