Group X Schedule

In Person and Virtual Class Schedules

Classes begin Monday, February 8 and run until Friday, May 14. For your convenience, you can view and save the Group X Spring 2021 Schedule in PDF format.

New Incentive Program!

  • This semester Group X will be raffling off custom made Yeti Tumblers to anyone who participates.
  • For every class you attend (in-person or virtually) you will be eligible to receive a raffle entry for a tumbler.
  • These raffles will continue throughout the entire semester so be sure to drop in for a class or two!!

Covid-19 Guidelines
  • You must bring your Montclair State University ID, and show the Hawk Check health screener verification on check-in.
  • Face coverings are required when checking in to class. Once you have arrived in your designated workout space, and are able to socially distance from others, you may remove your face covering. If you have to leave your workout space, you must put on your face covering before leaving.
  • Any necessary equipment for classes will be already set up in your workout grid. You are more than welcome to bring your own equipment (such as yoga mats). All equipment will be disinfected thoroughly before and after each use.
  • You will be required to wear a face covering once class has ended as you leave the workout area.
  • Please bring water and a towel with you. There will be no water fountains available for use and limited access to bottle filling stations inside the SRC.
  • Outdoor classes are subject to a range of weather and environmental conditions. We will closely monitor weather forecasts each day and communicate through Social Media and the Campus Recreation app for any updates to classes. Begin exercising at an easy, comfortable level before increasing intensity as outdoor conditions can affect your body’s response to exercise differently than indoors.
  • For your safety and for the safety of others, classes begin promptly at the start time and no late arrivals will be permitted.

Barbell Strength

This strength workout uses a barbell, and traditional weight room exercises for full body resistance training. Great music, awesome instructors and a choice of weight inspires participants to get the results they came for and fast!

Yoga is a combination of mind, body, and spirit. This yoga class is a blend of breathing, moving, and relaxation. Students will learn how to pair their breath with their movement, alignment, and strength building.

HIIT

HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training is an equipment free, full body workout that will get your blood pumping and muscles working! This workout keeps your heart rate up during the quick, intense bursts of exercise which are followed by recovery periods. This fun, calorie burning class will be a great addition to your exercise routine!

Bootcamp

This high-intensity, calorie burning class is a great workout for participants of all levels. A combination of weight training and cardiovascular circuits are used to improve your overall strength and cardiovascular health!

Pound

The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and isometric poses into a 45-minute series. Strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!

A dance-fitness program that infuses international rhythms and dance moves. Based on nonverbal cueing and repeated sequences that will make you sweat! Burn a ton of calories during this non-stop workout!

The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and isometric poses into a 45-minute series. Strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!
