Canvas Guest and Temporary accounts are approved according to Montclair\u2019s <\/span>Canvas administration<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 Once your guest\/temp account is approved, you will receive an email regarding your account via the email address you provided.<\/span><\/p>\n

Configure your Canvas Guest\/Temp Account<\/span><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. To complete the configuration of your guest\/temp account, click the registration link provided in the email to access the password creation page.\n

  2. To set your password, enter your desired password in the password field and enable the agreement checkbox. Click the \u201cRegister<\/strong>\u201d button to complete the process.\n

  3. After setting your password, go to the Canvas<\/a> (montclair.edu\/canvas) webpage then click on the \u201cGuest\/Temp Login<\/strong>\u201d button located on the right side of your screen.\n

  4. Enter your entire email address<\/strong> (ex. youremail@example.com) in the NetID field when prompted, along with the password you created, then click \u201cLog In<\/strong>.\u201d\n

    Reset Your Canvas Guest\/Temp Account Password<\/span><\/h2>\n

    If you\u2019ve already configured your guest\/temp account and need to reset your password please follow the steps below.<\/p>\n

    1. Click on the \u201cReset Guest Password<\/strong>\u201d link located below the \u201cStay signed in\u201d checkbox and to the left of the \u201cLog In\u201d button. \n

    2. You will be prompted to enter your \u201cMSU NetID,\u201d however please enter the email address<\/strong> (ex. youremail@example.com) associated with your Canvas access<\/strong>. \n

    3. After inputting your email, click the \u201cRequest Password<\/strong>\u201d button on the bottom right side of your screen. \n

    4. You will be prompted with a message from Montclair Canvas regarding a password confirmation including a link to reset your password. Please click on the link and follow the instructions provided. \n
