{"id":119272,"date":"2019-06-04T16:15:03","date_gmt":"2019-06-04T20:15:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/career-services\/?p=119272"},"modified":"2019-06-04T16:15:03","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T20:15:03","slug":"co-op-student-of-the-year-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/career-services\/2019\/06\/04\/co-op-student-of-the-year-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Co-op Student of the Year 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Recognizing Our Student Interns<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Each year, Career Services recognizes student interns who take advantage of applied learning experiences by completing a credit-bearing co-op or internship.\u00a0 Through hard work and dedication, these students gain invaluable work experiences with local, national and global companies and organizations.\u00a0 During the 2018-2019 academic year, Montclair State University students interned with organizations such as Coco Cola, iHeartMedia, RWJBarnabas Health, Johnson &amp; Johnson, Panasonic, NBC Universal, New York Jets, Prudential, and UPS.<\/p>\n<p>Cooperative Education (Co-op) is a University-wide, credit-bearing, experience-based learning program that provides students with preparation, counseling, academic projects and the opportunity to reflect on what is learned. It\u2019s a great resume builder and a way to test out a career.\u00a0 Over 750 students participated in the University&#8217;s co-op program in the 2018 &#8211; 2019 academic year.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Co-op Student of the Year Recipient<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Alexa Guidetti, College of Humanities and Social Sciences<\/p>\n<p><em>Summer 2018 Intern, Bergen County Prosecutor&#8217;s Office<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Cooperative Education Committee has selected Alexa Guidetti as the 2019 Co-op Student of the Year and has presented her a $250 award for her achievement. Alexa went above and beyond during her co-op experience at the Bergen County Prosecutor&#8217;s Office.
