The trip is tentatively scheduled for August 11-22, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The summer course will include an 11-day immersive study of Inclusive Education in Finland, led by <a href=\"\/\/www.montclair.edu\/~baconj\">Dr. Jessica Bacon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/~lalvanip\">Dr. Priya Lalvani<\/a>. Participating graduate students will explore educational policies, practices, and climates in Finnish Schools and Universities. Students will have the opportunity to meet with Finnish graduate students, teachers, administrators, and faculty members while conducting independent research projects. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to enjoy Finnish food, culture, and traditions and visit places of interest.<\/p>\n<p>This course will provide opportunities for participants to gain global and comparative understandings of inclusive education in ways that can enhance teaching practices and research interests. Student-directed and faculty-supported projects will be undertaken by each student.<\/p>\n<p>The course is listed as ECSE 575: Selected Topics in Inclusive Education and many Montclair State University Masters and Doctoral programs will allow for this course to be used as an elective or substitute. Students will be responsible for covering the usual 3 credit course tuition, plus travel expenses. Every effort will be made to ensure this travel is cost-effective for students.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on this trip please see the attached brochure. Applications will be due on February 15, 2022.
