{"id":124348,"date":"2022-05-11T12:26:37","date_gmt":"2022-05-11T16:26:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/cchl\/?p=124348"},"modified":"2022-05-11T12:26:37","modified_gmt":"2022-05-11T16:26:37","slug":"dr-lauren-dinour-receives-center-for-community-engagements-outstanding-service-award-for-a-faculty-partner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/cchl\/2022\/05\/11\/dr-lauren-dinour-receives-center-for-community-engagements-outstanding-service-award-for-a-faculty-partner\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Lauren Dinour Receives Center for Community Engagement&#8217;s Outstanding Service Award for a Faculty Partner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/~dinourl\">Dr. Lauren Dinour<\/a>, Associate Professor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/nutrition-and-food-studies\">Nutrition and Food Studies Department<\/a>, was recently selected as this year&#8217;s recipient of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/center-for-community-engagement\">Center for Community Engagement&#8217;s Outstanding Service Award for a Faculty Partner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The award recognizes a faculty member who has made outstanding contributions to the Center for Community Engagement through their commitment to engaged teaching, service, and scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dinour will be celebrated at a luncheon hosted by the Center for Community Engagement on June 15, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dinour is a Registered Dietitian (RD), certified lactation counselor (CLC), and public health professional. She holds a DrPH and MPH with a concentration in Public Health Nutrition. Her research focuses on health-promoting policies, programs, and practices that improve childhood nutrition and food security, particularly in the areas of breastfeeding\/chestfeeding, school food, and university settings. Dr. Dinour co-authored the text, <em>Nutrition in Public Health: Principles, Policies, and Practice<\/em>, 2nd edition (CRC Press, 2016). Her work also appears in peer-reviewed journals such as <em>Breastfeeding Medicine<\/em>, <em>Health Education and Behavior<\/em>, <em>Journal of American College Health<\/em>, <em>Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior<\/em>, <em>Journal of Human Lactation<\/em>, <em>Public Health Nutrition<\/em>, and <em>Women&#8217;s Health Issues<\/em>.
