When asked about the updates to the Moderna vaccine, Dr. Silvera stated: &#8220;I think this is actually very good news. It&#8217;s actually something I&#8217;ve been very excited about seeing. One of the benefits of the mRNA vaccine has always been this ability to pivot to add new strains&#8230;So it would have the spike protein for both the original strain and the new omicron variant.
