L. Tinio<\/a>, Professor at the Educational Foundations Department and Head of the Creativity and Aesthetics Lab, and his research team were awarded a grant by the <a href=\"https:\/\/templetonreligiontrust.org\/\">Templeton Religion Trust<\/a> for the project Mirror to the World: The Power of Art to Build Understanding and Creativity. The $1 Million project will be carried out in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.yale.edu\/childstudy\/services\/community-and-schools-programs\/center-for-emotional-intelligence\/\">Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence<\/a>. It will extend Dr. Tinio&#8217;s research on art&#8217;s ability to promote understanding and creativity.<\/p>\n<p>The project will build on a previous $217,000 Templeton Religion Trust project (2022-2024) in which Dr. Tinio and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yale.edu\/\">Yale University<\/a> colleague <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.yale.edu\/profile\/zorana-ivcevic\/\">Dr. Zorana Ivcevic Pringle<\/a> examined the meaningful and profound impacts of art engagement at the <a href=\"https:\/\/whitney.org\/\">Whitney Museum of American Art<\/a>. Both projects are theoretically guided by <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcommons.montclair.edu\/cgi\/viewcontent.cgi?article=1063&amp;context=educ-fdns-facpubs\">Dr. Tinio&#8217;s Mirror Model of Art<\/a>.
