Paul Kehinde Ajayi Selected to be Student Speaker at 2019 Convocation Ceremony

Paul Kehinde Ajayi, a student double majoring in Public Health and Biology with a minor in Chemistry, will represent the College of Education and Human Services at the 2019 Convocation Ceremony as he was chosen to be the student speaker for the event. Paul’s nominator noted, “Paul is an exceptional student and leader who has immersed himself deeply in academics and student life at Montclair State. He is an RA, has contributed to faculty research in both of his major departments, Biology, and Public Health, has achieved academic excellence in two rigorous majors, and is universally liked and respected by his peers, staff, and faculty.”
Paul is a part of the Science Honors Innovation Program (SHIP) at Montclair State University. Additionally, he is a 2018-19 Fellow of the Dr. Bonnie Lustigman Research Fellowship. After completing his undergraduate studies, he plans on pursuing a dual Doctor of Medicine (M.D) and Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Sociomedical Sciences with a certification in Environmental Health Sciences.
He is strongly determined to highlight health disparities and housing inequities in underserved populations, through the promotion of clinical care and environmental health interventions. This includes facilitating housing policies outside the office/hospital as well as promoting social, economic, educational, and environmental changes that will alleviate suffering and contribute to human well-being.
The 2019 Convocation Ceremony will take place on May 16, 2019, at 1:00 pm.
