Education Deans for Justice and Equity Advocate for Accountability-Focused “Reforms”

The Education Deans for Justice and Equity (EDJE) signed by more than 350 deans and other leaders advocating for a turn away from many of the market-based accountability-focused “reforms” that are impeding rather than supporting the preparation of teachers who have expert knowledge of content and of students and student learning and who are ethical decision-makers.  Dr. Tamara Lucas, Dean of the College of Education and Human Services, is a founding steering committee member others in CEHS have been involved in the work as well, which is the group that developed the Framework that is being used in this year’s Advancing Equity and Justice in CEHS Initiative.
