Dr. Lauren Dinour Weighs in on Food Insecurity on College Campuses

Dr. Lauren Dinour, Associate Professor in the Nutrition and Food Studies Department, recently commented on the issue of food insecurity on college campuses for Staten Island Live. Dr. Dinour noted that “Rising costs of college tuition, housing, healthcare, and other basic needs, coupled with low minimum wage rates, means that students have less money to spend on food.”
Dr. Dinour is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Lactation Counselor with clinical, managerial, teaching, and research experience. She is interested in nutrition-related public health policy and programming.
