As Governor Murphy gradually opened some stay-at-home and business-closing restrictions, what may be next to open? Dr. Stephanie Silvera, Professor in the Public Health Department, commented that countries such as China and Japan have seen new case spikes in recent weeks, and that New Jersey should exercise caution in the absence of a vaccine or a strong treatment.

Dr. Silvera stated, “I’m not sure we are yet at the point in terms of testing and contact tracing that we should push this any further. I don’t believe this is something you can or should rush.”
