President Trump hosted a fundraiser at a New Jersey golf club on October 1st and included both indoor and outdoor elements.

Dr. Stephanie Silvera, Professor in the Public Health Department noted, “People who attended the outdoor events without masks may be fine, so long as they kept at least 6 feet away from everyone else. But every person who attended the indoor portions — even the few who wore masks — should immediately quarantine for the next 14 days, and get tested for COVID-19.”

“I was immediately very worried” when she learned last Friday about the event, Dr. Silvera said. “Not only for the people who chose to attend, but for the people who work at these events who don’t necessarily have the agency to ask the people around them to wear a mask.”
