Dr. Tanya Maloney Interviewed by WNYC-FM Radio Regarding Remote Learning

Dr. Tanya Maloney, Assistant Professor in the Teaching and Learning Department, was a guest on WNYC-FM public radio on October 7, 2020, regarding remote learning.

Dr. Maloney stated, “The digital divide is not something that sprung up during the COVID-19 outbreak, but exacerbated it. We knew that it was a problem going into the pandemic and it was fine until it literally meant the end of learning for a whole swath of children,” said Dr. Maloney. She added that the pandemic forced the state to finally address a decades-long problem — or at least direct some money towards it.
