HLTH 425: Applied Statistics for Public Health

This course covers the basic concepts in the application of statistics as they relate to health and biological problems. Emphasis is placed on the tools and techniques used to evaluate the health status of a community, including births, deaths, and illness rates. Additionally, the biological issues underlying national and local health policies are explored. 3 hours lecture.

Prerequisites: MATH 109 and HLTH 365
