CEHS faculty and staff are often recognized as experts in their fields, and serve as a reliable source of earned media coverage for the university. This recognition is often connected with the focus in CEHS on meaningful research and the preparation of professionals that directly impacts people’s lives. The issues addressed in the media by faculty and staff often connect with the needs of historically marginalized individuals and communities in ways that resonate with the vision of working towards a healthier, better educated, and more just society. Based on data from University Communications, in 2020-21, CEHS represented 55% of the total earned media coverage across the campus, with 242 instances and a potential reach of 1,242,042,411 people.
