In New Jersey, working-age Latino men are dying at much higher rates than white men.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/~silveras\">Dr. Stephanie Silvera<\/a>, Professor in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/public-health\">Public Health Department<\/a>, recently was interviewed by NPR regarding this discovery.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Silvera stated, &#8220;We are losing whole generations of fathers.&#8221; She added, &#8220;Health disparities have long been written off by people as the result of bad behavior, right?
