The scholarship is awarded by an organization that honors women in food.<\/p>\n<p>Les Dames d\u2019Escoffier is the only organization of its kind: a world wide philanthropic society of professional women leaders in the fields of food, fine beverage and hospitality.\u00a0 Scholarships are awarded by individual Chapters of LDEI, and Mondragon is the recipient of the New York Chapter\u2019s award.
