{"id":131,"date":"2017-12-01T12:58:58","date_gmt":"2017-12-01T17:58:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/center-for-autism-and-early-childhood-mental-health\/?page_id=131"},"modified":"2017-12-01T12:58:58","modified_gmt":"2017-12-01T17:58:58","slug":"new-jersey-pyramid-model-partnership","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/center-for-autism-and-early-childhood-mental-health\/professional-developmentformation\/new-jersey-pyramid-model-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"New Jersey Pyramid Model Partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New Jersey Pyramid Model Partnership, a working group of the New Jersey Council for Young Children, works to ensure that all infants and young children (ages 0-8) will have the opportunity to develop social-emotional competence.<\/p>\n<p>The efforts localize the guidance put forth by the Pyramid Model, which provides information for early childhood educators, early intervention personnel, families and other professionals on evidence-based practices that promote young children\u2019s healthy social-emotional development. The Partnership uses this model to help early educators build skills for supporting nurturing and responsive caregiving, create learning environments, provide targeted social-emotional skills and support children with challenging behavior.<\/p>\n<p>There are three tiers of intervention practice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Universal promotion for all children<\/li>\n<li>Secondary preventions to address the intervention needs for children at risk of social-emotional delays<\/li>\n<li>Tertiary interventions needed for children with persistent challenges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New Jersey Pyramid Model Partnership, a working group of the New Jersey Council for Young Children, works to ensure that all infants and young children (ages 0-8) will have the opportunity to develop social-emotional competence.
