Orientation Leadership Program

Montclair State University provides countless opportunities for our students to enhance their academic and personal growth. The Orientation Leadership Program is one of those great opportunities. During Overnight Freshman Orientation, our Orientation Leaders serve as invaluable resources that facilitate a positive transition for our incoming freshman and their family members.

What Is An Orientation Leader?

Orientation Leaders (OLs) are undergraduate student leaders who are committed, hardworking, resourceful and enthusiastic. They possess a strong desire to work with a diverse population of new students and their family members.

Through training and development, Orientation Leaders gain the necessary skills to enhance the quality of our orientation programs on a continuous basis. OLs learn to integrate their roles as college representatives, community builders, programmers, and student advocates.
