The Distinguished Student Leader Awards are open to any current Montclair State University student. The purpose is to highlight and acknowledge those students who make meaningful contributions and have a strong impact at the university.
All student nominees were evaluated based on the extent to which they have made meaningful contributions and the level of impact on their peers.
When nominating a student, be sure to include a thorough description of his or her contributions to the university, including all achievements as a student leader to date. The more information provided about the nominee, the better they can be evaluated by the committee. This information is key in considering your candidate for the selected award.
The selection committee is comprised of three representatives from the university who will evaluate all nominations for the selected award category. Up to three students will be selected as recipients for each category.
Students who receive awards will:
- Be recognized on the Center for Leadership Development website
- Receive a plaque and certificate
- Have an opportunity to present at the Leadership Institute or Student Leader Cross Training
- Appear in the graduation edition of The Montclarion
- Enhance their resume
