Mellon Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the workshop, participants will learn how Tropy can be used by researchers to organize, describe, and search their photos of primary source materials taken in archives and special collections. Tropy was featured in the\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.historians.org\/publications-and-directories\/perspectives-on-history\/april-2018\/research-clutter-a-new-app-helps-create-order-out-of-disorder\" target=\"_blank\">April 2018 edition of the AHA Perspectives<\/a>\u00a0for its usefulness to anybody working with primary sources.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop is designed to demonstrate new ways of collecting, describing, and organizing images taken of primary source materials in the archive that can be used during the research process. Tropy Outreach Coordinator Megan Brett will be leading a hands-on workshop and demonstration of the tool and how it might be utilized in library, archive, and special collections settings.<\/p>\n<p>To find out more and to register, visit our event page.
