We are interested in funding<\/em><br \/>\n<em>studies that aim to understand and disrupt the reproduction and deepening<\/em><br \/>\n<em>of educational inequality in education, and which seek to remake and<\/em><br \/>\n<em>imagine anew forms of equitable education. Thus, we are also interested in<\/em><br \/>\n<em>research projects that are working to reimagine educational opportunities in<\/em><br \/>\n<em>a multiplicity of education systems, levels, settings, and developmental<\/em><br \/>\n<em>ranges and that reach beyond documenting conditions and paradigms that<\/em><br \/>\n<em>contribute to persistent racial inequalities.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Our goal for this program is to support rigorous, intellectually ambitious, and<\/em><br \/>\n<em>technically sound research that is relevant to the most pressing questions<\/em><br \/>\n<em>and compelling opportunities in relation to racial equity in education.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>As with other Spencer grant programs, this program is \u201cfield-initiated\u201d in that<\/em><br \/>\n<em>proposal submissions are not required to be developed around a particular<\/em><br \/>\n<em>research topic, discipline, design, method, or geographic location.
