Congratulations to Kristen Bryfogle. On Sunday, May 22, she was presented with one of the Outstanding Academic Achievement and Service Awards during the Humanities Convocation ceremony. The award recognizes students who embody the intellectual values of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
A continual Dean’s List student, Bryfogle, a member of the Honors Program, won the Peins Scholarship in Classics, the Drukker Memorial Scholarship in Journalism, and the Riordan Scholarship for support of study abroad. Most recently Bryfogle presented her essay on Kate Chopin's The Awakening at Montclair’s Student Research Symposium.

Also, this year Bryfogle has served as the Editor-In-Chief of the Montclarion having written more than100 articles, spanning all sections, in her years at Montclair.
Bryfogle is service-minded: she has been a tutor in the Academic Success Center, a Peer Leader at the Center for Advising and Student Transitions, a student leader at the Student Recreation Center and finally she has acted in Montclair’s Greek Theater Group's Antigone and The Bacchae.
After graduation, Kristen plans to pursue her PhD with the ultimate goal of becoming a professor.
