Domestic Violence Perpetrators: Theory, Research, and Practice Implications

This workshop will provide an overview of domestic violence/intimate partner violence perpetrators. There will be a brief discussion about the historical viewpoints of partner abuse within the domestic violence field, followed by a study of the empirically derived IPV abuser subtypes.  This presentation will conclude with a detailed discussion on IPV assessment and treatment/intervention implications. Questions and answers will follow.
