This year the Goethe-Institut New York again invited all students majoring and minoring in German to the Career Day “Studying and Working in Germany” event in NYC. This event is organized in cooperation with the DAAD, the German Consulate, the German-American Chamber of Commerce, Deutsches Haus at NYU, and representatives of a group of German universities. The students learned about university programs, scholarships, internships, and work opportunities in Germany – and how studying German in college can help them boost their future academic and professional careers.
There were information booths on German universities and organizations; 30-minute workshops and talks about studying, researching and working in Germany, and info on how to find and apply for scholarships and grants.
