Montclair State University and the School of Communication and Media will host an undergraduate open house for prospective students and their families on Sunday, November 13. SCM has one of the best communication and media programs in the country, offering six undergraduate majors in a beautiful, state-of-the-art building.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is Sunday\u2019s schedule with the presentation times for each program. All sessions will take place in Presentation Hall in the School of Communication and Media building. Faculty and current students will share their experiences about their respective programs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Journalism and Digital Media<\/span><\/a> (9:30-9:55 a.m.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Sports Communication<\/span><\/a> (10:05-10:30 a.m.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Social Media and Public Relations and Advertising <\/span><\/a>(<\/span>10:40-11:05 a.m.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Animation and Visual Effects <\/span><\/a>(<\/span>11:15 11:40 a.m.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Communication and Media Studies <\/span><\/a>(11:50 a.m-12:15 p.m.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Film and Television and Filmmaking<\/span><\/a> (12:25-12:50 p.m.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Students and their families can also tour the building and the School’s state-of-the-art facilities, and learn more about\u00a0 SCM\u2019s\u00a0 clubs and award-winning organizations including WMSC 90.3 FM\u00a0<\/a>(radio station),\u00a0The Montclarion\u00a0<\/a>(newspaper),\u00a0Hawk Communications<\/a>\u00a0(strategic communications agency),\u00a0Red Hawk Sports Network<\/a>\u00a0(covering 18 varsity sports),\u00a0News Lab<\/a>\u00a0(digital news outlet),\u00a0Hawk+<\/a>\u00a0(digital streaming service), \u00a0Joetta DiBella and Fred C. Sauter III Center for Strategic Communication<\/a> (Social Media and Data Analytics Center) and Public Relations Student Society of America<\/a>\u00a0chapter.<\/span><\/p>\n
