The lively and \u201cconcierge fun\u201d pair greet guests at the Mango Manor, a bed and breakfast run by Deepa\u2019s multigenerational family. Working alongside Anoop, Deepa uses her imaginative skills to create music, merriment, and mischief while solving problems. Season 2 features 32, 11-minute episodes and two, 22-minute specials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The show was inspired by a life-altering trip to India when Goldman served on the international jury for the Mumbai Film Festival and taught a workshop at an animation school. Her fascination with the culture and inspiration from a &#8220;Page Three&#8221; column in The Times of India dedicated to Bollywood (Hindi Cinema) stars led to the creation of the series. Along with her team of Heather Kenyon and Munjal Shroff, she later pitched and landed a deal with Mattel to develop the series.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>Deepa &amp; Anoop<\/em> was created with such love,&#8221; Goldman said. &#8220;I think you can feel it when you watch the show.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_210066\" class=\"responsive-image-holder wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"mlt-responsive-image\" data-original-image=\"\/college-of-communication-and-media\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/02\/Lisa-Goldman-Head-Shotish.jpg\" src=\"\/responsive-media\/cache\/college-of-communication-and-media\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/02\/Lisa-Goldman-Head-Shotish.jpg.0.1x.generic.jpg\" alt=\"A smiling woman sitting in a purple chair looking up and straight ahead\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">School of Communication and Media Adjunct Professor Lisa Goldman<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Goldman and team recently celebrated a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/awards.kidscreen.com\/Nominees\/?year=2023\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kidscreen <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">nomination for \u201cBest New Preschool Series and Best Inclusivity Series\u201d with winners to be announced this month. &#8220;I<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">t&#8217;s such an honor and we&#8217;re beyond excited about these nominations,&#8221; she said. &#8220;It&#8217;s wonderful that the awards ceremony for the show we love so much is on Valentine&#8217;s Day!&#8221;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Goldman\u2019s writing credits include <em>Pinky Dinky Doo<\/em>, <em>Pilar\u2019s Adventures<\/em>, <em>Dragon Tales,<\/em> articles in Animation Magazine, awn.com, and an ebook, <em>Burlap the Bearwolf and the Go-away Stay!<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the show launched, positive reviews on platforms such as TikTok highlighted how South Asia is represented.
