Thanks to the generosity of Montclair State University School of Communication and Media alumni, professors, staff and friends of the program, 39 undergraduate and graduate students received scholarships last evening at the annual SCM Student Scholarship Awards program. Students received more than $20,000 in awards across 19 funds that recognized excellence in areas including leadership, public service, film, sports media, radio, journalism and Hispanic journalism.<\/p>\n

More than 100 people attended the ceremony in Presentation Hall and via Zoom to recognize the winners’ incredible academic achievement, award-winning projects, excellence in co-curricular media clubs and activities, and determination. “This event is one of the highlights of our academic year, and we are grateful for our generous donors and amazing students who make the School of Communication and Media special,” said Dr. Keith Strudler, director of the school.<\/p>\n
