This is a great opportunity to catch up with fellow alumni, see some of your favorite professors, and witness how the department and College of the Arts has grown. The evening will include a special private show featuring mentalist Manlow and magician Baltus, followed by an alumni reception.\u00a0 Admission is free and will take place in the Howard Fox Theater on campus beginning at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Following the performance, alumni will have the opportunity to network with classmates and reunite with faculty members they may not have seen since graduation. Many of the department&#8217;s faculty members are scheduled to attend, including <strong>Wayne Bond<\/strong>, <strong>Christine Lemesianou<\/strong>, <strong>Todd Kelshaw<\/strong>, and <strong>Larry Weiner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>With the recent announcement that the University\u2019s Board of Trustees has approved the creation of a new School of Communication and Media, this is a very exciting time for the department. Check your email inbox for a formal invitation along with registration information in the coming months.\u00a0 Refreshments will be served.\u00a0 Help spread the word to your classmates and friends.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p>_________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Entertainment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Manlow\u2019s extraordinary talents have been seen by audiences around the world.\u00a0 He has appeared regularly on television programs, most notably <em>That\u2019s Incredible<\/em>, <em>Live With Regis and Kathie Lee<\/em>, and <em>PM Magazine<\/em>.\u00a0 Manlow has also hosted his own weekly TV program called, <em>Manlow\u2019s Meeting of the Minds<\/em>, and he has also created and produced a syndicated radio show called, <em>Seekers of the Supernatural<\/em>. Manlow\u2019s memory enhancement seminar is popular among college audiences.<\/p>\n<p>At nine years old, Howard Baltus was performing magic shows all around Philadelphia. At 10, he was employed by Burger Doodle, a popular Philadelphia restaurant that catered kids\u2019 parties. As the years progressed, Baltus adapted his skills in other areas of magic. He learned sleight of hand and focused on close-up magic. He also studied stage craft and created larger stage shows for his clients.
