Students develop public health knowledge, professional skills, values and dispositions that prepare them for leadership roles in public health, community health education, advocacy, policy, health care, schools, community-based organizations and related settings.<\/p>\n<p>The Master of Public Health can be completed as part of a combined program with the following undergraduate degrees:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/bs-public-health\/\">BS in Public Health<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-medical-humanities\/\">BA in Medical Humanities<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-psychology\/\">BA in Psychology<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Application Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Students apply to the combined program while completing the undergraduate portion of their degree. Once undergraduate requirements are met, eligible students may apply to the graduate portion of the MPH program.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Undergraduate Portion Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">BS in Public Health &sol; MPH<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<p>To apply for admission to the undergraduate portion of the program, students must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have completed a minimum of 75 overall credits<\/li>\n<li>Have completed the following courses, or their equivalents at another institution:\n<ul>\n<li>HLTH102<\/li>\n<li>HLTH202<\/li>\n<li>HLTH204<\/li>\n<li>HLTH240<\/li>\n<li>MATH109<\/li>\n<li>WRIT106<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Have achieved an overall GPA of 3.4 or greater<\/li>\n<li>Be eligible to graduate with a BS in Public Health one year following application to the Combined Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Students with a GPA of 3.7 or greater<\/strong> will be considered for admission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students with a GPA between 3.4 and 3.7<\/strong> must submit the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Resume:<\/strong> A current resume is not required, but applicants are encouraged to include one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Statement of Purpose:<\/strong> Please write an integrated essay responding to the following:\n<ul>\n<li>What are your goals for graduate study and your future career?<\/li>\n<li>In what ways do your academic background and professional experiences provide evidence of your potential for success in the program and in your eventual career?
