We strive to promote connections in local communities between counseling students, educators, alumni, and professionals. Chi Sigma Mu strives to build a strong community to support each other in our counseling graduate studies, professional and personal development, and advocacy efforts through social events, workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities. We provide a space for sharing of concerns, discussion of important issues, and support for common professional interests. In particular, our chapter focuses on social justice advocacy efforts within our community and beyond. We are dedicated to helping students develop their advocacy and cultural competency. Through our chapter, counseling students and members can attend social events and professional development workshops, participate in mentoring, networking, and staying connected to others who have similar passions. We also provide grant opportunities for members to attend conferences and workshops.

We encourage you to consider the ways you might contribute and partner with us in our efforts. You each have unique strengths and interests that you can bring to CSI, whether that is writing articles for our chapter newsletter, volunteering for one of our committees, or helping to plan upcoming events. Perhaps, you might even consider running for office and joining our executive board.

Chi Sigma Iota International

Established at Ohio University in 1985, Chi Sigma Iota is the international honor society for students, professional counselors, and counselor educators.
