{"id":207629,"date":"2019-08-26T10:42:13","date_gmt":"2019-08-26T14:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/csam\/?p=207629"},"modified":"2022-06-13T11:31:35","modified_gmt":"2022-06-13T15:31:35","slug":"meiyin-wu-njdep-ecological-processes-standing-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/csam\/2019\/08\/26\/meiyin-wu-njdep-ecological-processes-standing-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Meiyin Wu appointed to NJDEP Ecological Processes Standing Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Meiyin Wu, Professor in the <a href=\"\/biology\/\">Department of Biology<\/a> and Director of the <a href=\"\/water-science\/passaic-river-institute-2\/\">Passaic River Institute (PRI)<\/a>, was recently appointed to the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/dep\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)<\/a> Standing Committee on Ecological Processes. There are four standing committees that report to the NJDEP Science Advisory Board:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ecological Processes<\/li>\n<li>Public Health<\/li>\n<li>Water Quality and Quantity<\/li>\n<li>Climate and Atmospheric Sciences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The NJDEP Science Advisory Board provides independent peer review and advice to the NJDEP Commissioner on scientific and technical issues relevant to the Department&#8217;s mission.<\/p>\n<p>CSAM is a consistent partner of the NJDEP with several current and past advisors serving on these committees.
