She is the author of <em>Body and Sacred Place in Medieval Europe, 1100- 1389<\/em>, <em>Roger II of Sicily: Family, Faith and Empire in the Medieval Mediterranean World<\/em>, as well as many articles on medieval French and Italian history whose research she has presented both domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, she is the founding director of a National Endowment for the Humanities-supported digital effort, <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/NormanSicily.org\" target=\"_blank\">The Norman Sicily Project<\/a>, whose aim is to use history, earth science and modern technologies to digitally conserve and call awareness to the neglected monuments of Sicily\u2019s medieval past (c. 1060 &#8211; 1194).
