Congratulations to Professor Naomi Liebler on the publication of her latest book, her fifth, A Cultural History of Tragedy in the Early Modern Age<\/a>, just out from Bloomsbury as part of a new six-volume series of edited collections on tragedy from antiquity to the present. Liebler’s commissioned volume covers two hundred fifty years, and addresses a range of topics in tragedy including performance and circulation, religion and ritual, politics and society, and gender and sexuality.<\/p>\n

This is Liebler’s second publication this year. Last June her invited essay on teaching Shakespeare at MSU, “\u2018Who\u2019s There?\u2019 \u2018Nay, Answer me. Stand and unfold yourself\u2019: Attending to Students in Diversified Settings”<\/a>, was published in How and Why We Teach Shakespeare: College Teachers and Directors Share How They Explore the Playwright\u2019s Works with Their Students, ed. Sidney Homan (Routledge).<\/p>\n
