Eric Korb is known for his successes, leadership and a keen eye for technology since 1983. A person who thrives on challenges, he is not afraid of trying something that’s never been done before. As a former CIO/CTO for higher education, Eric has guided the adoption of Instructure’s Canvas and pioneered new applications on the platform, specifically the creation of a whole-campus virtual Student Commons and BadgeSafe® for Canvas. As CEO/Founder of Accreditrust, Eric lead his team to deliver a tamper-proof digital badge service for holders of degrees, medical credentials and corporate training. Companies founded by Eric include LawyerLinks, an on-line legal research service for in-house counsels of public companies; Webinars.com, one of the first internet companies to offer web-based business-to-business meeting coupled to teleconferencing, “webinar” was a registered trademark of Korb; GBC/Xecute!, Inc., a master reseller of high-end TCP-IP, X-Windows and telecommunications products and services; GE/ACCESS, a worldwide wholesaler of computer graphic software and hardware for CAD/CAM applications.
A native of New Jersey, Eric graduated from Metuchen HS, then earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Management from The Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. Eric is also an active speaker and mentor in New Jersey’s entrepreneurial community.
