Women seeking more modest options in swimwear now have options that empower them with confidence. The collection offers superior UV sun protection, chlorine-proof material, (perfect for water zumba), made from the finest fabrics. HydroChic offers many options including Missy and Plus sizes, as well as complimentary supportive swim/sports bras in many styles and types, including options for mastectomy.

Inspiration for HydroChic came from mothers, sisters, daughters and friends of the founders who, like Sara, felt compelled to don men’s t-shirts and night shirts over the skimpy bathing suits that dominate the market. One sunny day in 2006, observing the large percentage of women on the beach wearing those sloppy t-shirts, she realized that the demand for a better alternative would be strong, hence HydroChic was born.

Sara and Daniella invested the time necessary for researching fabrics, learning the basics of creating and setting up a business, how to market and sell, and most importantly, which prototypes to create using styles they felt were right. The pair went to the drawing board and came up with designs for the company’s first tops and bottoms, and submitted them to a manufacturer. By the summer of 2007 they were well on their way, selling HydroChic styles to women around the world.

Like many entrepreneurs, Sara didn’t start out in the business that became her calling. Sara’s interest in history, philosophy, ancient manuscripts and archaeology led her to a career teaching high school students subjects in her fields of interest. When she found this vocation to be less rewarding than she thought, she chose the path that eventually led her to HydroChic.

Sara was born in Yonkers, NY and grew up in New Rochelle, NY. She is married with 5 children — 4 sons and one daughter, ranging in age from 3-18 years old. She divides her time between her homes in the USA and Israel. Her advice to others: “Develop slowly and steadily, listen to your customers’ feedback and take the advice of others, but always stay focused, finding support among family and friends.”

["post-1261","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
